Spurs stomp Mavs

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Mavericks without Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. The Spurs dominated, they took the lead in the third quarter and never gave it up. Tony Parker came up big for the Spurs, he came out on fire, he had 18 points in the first quarter and finished the game with 37 points and 12 assists. The Mavericks got out played in every face of the game, Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle said the Mavs got "About 42 minutes of a [butt]-kicking," "We threw about six, tough minutes at them in the second quarter. The rest of the time, they dominated the game with their disposition and how they played." Everyone in a Mavs uniform seemed to agree,

"From the start to the end, we weren't us today," guard J.J. Barea said. "They played harder. They did everything better. They outplayed us in every aspect of the game."

"It's a gift that Duncan didn't play, and we didn't take it," forward Dirk Nowitzki said. "It's a frustrating, disappointing loss.

"It was just an embarrassing effort."
